Office of Partnerships and Development
Created in 2005, the Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) Office of Partnerships and Development seeks to foster support for DPR by seeking grants and establishing innovative public and private partnerships. These grants and partnerships allow DPR to increase community stewardship and make additional improvements to parks and recreational facilities.
The Department of Parks and Recreation recognizes and extends their appreciation to all current partners for their support.
DPR Partnership Programs
DPR welcomes partneship proposals from neighborhood, civic or nonprofit organizations, and corporations interested in partnering with DPR.
- Programmatic Partnerships - DPR Programmatic Partners have the unique opportunity to design creative and quality programming for District residents.
- Park Partners - DPR offers two Park Partners programs, “Adopt-a-Park Program” and the “Friends of Program” for the support, improvement, beautification, advocacy, fundraising and maintenance of DPR facilities.
- Corporate Partners - DPR encourages corporate citizenship and community stewardship. Through the Corporate Partners program, organizations can collaborate with DPR and donate in-kind services or make financial contributions towards park projects, recreational programs and events or capital improvements.
Donations
The Office of Partnerships and Development also welcomes donations and contributions to support DPR's programs and facilities.
